Default Leagues we did not know exsisted

Having just come across some information on the NASL, I have come to see that it was once very popular here in the states.

There was once a dream to bring top-class professional soccer to the U.S. and Canada. This began in 1966, and the goal had been reached in the later 1970's. When you get crowds of 70,000 packing a stadium, it speaks for itself.

Unfortunately it was very short lived as in early 1985 the NASL officially fell apart.

I think the NASL played a very important part in development of soccer in the U.S.

That's a cool fact to know about how soccer came to the States. I wonder why it fell apart, it sounded like it was such a good idea.
