So what do you think about Italy being the winning team in 2008? I know that there are a lot of people thinking they have what it takes. I want to know what you think?

They still have a great team, and yes they did win but if you remember back to the World Cup the game against Germany could have gone either way, it was minutes away from penalty kicks, and anything could have happened.
As for the team, still talented, however I think the will miss the leadership of Totti and Nesta. They will make it out of the group satge but I don't think they will win it this time. As World Champions there is to much pressure on them to perform well this time around and for that reason I see them stumbling along the way.

There chances were dealt another severe blow yesterday as their strong horse defender and captain suffered an injury that will keep him out of EURO 2008. Fabio Cannavaro tore ligaments in his foot in a training session yesterday. Definately going to affect the back defending.
