A shock for RM

Did anyone thought that Real Madrid could be out of the tournament? But this was made possible by Roma as they have knocked out RM. They have now joined Chelsea. It happened much to my surprise. I also think that the miss of Nisterlooy is an important factor here.

Not a massive shock, after all it is knock-out football. You have to remember also that Real Madrid have been knocked out this stage for the past few seasons.

And also not a shock because of the fact that they played fairly dismally. Granted they probably deserved a little more out of the first leg, but I wasn't backing them to get very far this year and certainly wouldn't have tipped them to beat Roma on Tuesday.

Obviously, but I was merely stating that I didn't expect Madrid to go through. There is always the element of possibility, but there is also something called probability and that's why bookies make so much money.

This has come to me as no surprise as Real Madrid had no chances of winning the Champions League with such a midfield. I hope that the coach takes a good lesson from this loss and tries to import some good midfielder during the next transfer window. I think Lennon would be a good option.
