European soccer's governing body met with several leaders of the continent's betting industry Thursday in an effort to improve monitoring of suspicious wagers on soccer matches. Michel Platini, president of the Union of European Football Associations. is looking to find ways to speed up an early warning system that gives soccer authorities information to identify people placing bets.
