Backup G Johnson rejoins Capitals (AP)

Backup goalie Brent Johnson rejoined the Washington Capitals on Saturday after a one-game rehab assignment with the AHL's Hershey Bears, and goalie Frederic Cassivi was sent to the minors. Johnson hasn't played for Washington since spraining his left knee against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Dec. 27. He is 3-4-1 this season.
