Strange comparison

It is strange to see the statistics as both Federer and Nadal have won 5 ATP series each in the 2007 year. Also in the ATP clashes , mostly Nadal has beaten Federer. So here are the signs that Nadal is the next top hero. But still he ranks number 2. Soon he will the number one.

the statistics is a great thing to have, but nadal never show up a constance in his game...it's a litlle bit impredictible.

Absolutely correct. Nadal is going to overtake Federer if his body can keep up with his amazing game. To tell you the truth, Nadal would have probably beat Federer at this year's Wimbledon if he didn't choke or injure himself. Federer was reduced to crying that the Challenge system was cheating him. Talk about no class.

Nadal is an exceptional talent..The only person that has shown glimpses of beating federer at regular occasions.He is a true performer gives everything when it comes to the game.He will become number one soon at the stake with strking talents with him.It will be great to watch both players in the coming tournaments.

Nadal is unpredictable.He is sure rectifying the fact.But he is still improving on it.He is young and immense talent and sure he will learn when the time goes on.Nobody is perfect right from the start.Federer became better when he played played and played.Take for eg:Sampras became exceptional only after years of experience.He will sure will become no.1

As for this comparison, the reason Federer is #1 and Nadal is only #2 is because Federer won 3 grand slams and Nadal won only 1.

Also, Nadal plays very few tournaments that are out of the clay season. Federer plays a lot of hard court tournaments and he occasionally plays a grass court tournament. What makes the biggest difference is that Federer plays the bigger TIER tournaments that give him more points.

I am not sure Nadal will be as big a threat for Federrer as would be Djokovic. Nadal plays it hard and chases down balls that most of his rivals would give up on , but when it comes to tactics ,I feel Federrer has the upper hand.I think the one to take over Federrer would be Novak.
