I think the decision by Sania mirza to pull out herself from the Bangalore Sony Ericson open proved to be foolish. She had been wrongly adviced and an upcoming player should not have done so. Rather she should make herself mentally tough and should have participated and won. This would have proved her critics wrong.

I am also of a similar view,because she should not forget that the popularity graph rises with controversies and celebrities are supposed to live with these.Country is not because of a person but person is recognized by one's country.

I was of the opinion that the controversies were becoming a little too much for her to sustain and the fact that her performances in the major tournaments weren't exactly of the highest standard further put her off. My guess is that Bhupati advised her to do what she'd have done anyway , but it's equally true that if she has to have a successful career as a sports person then she needs to toughen up.

yes i too feel that a talented player like her should not pay any heed to the critics.She should just concentrate on her game to maintain her level.

She was adviced by Mahesh who does the job of consultancy for her. The media people give too much of hype for anything and everything and that is why most of the sports person are not able to bear the brunt and collapse like this. she needs to silence her critics through her performance.

i agree that it was a foolish decision of sania.Apart from practice she should not concentrate on other futile things.This can cost a lot to her.

Thats what everyone keep saying about. It will be good for her only to concentrate on her matches and practises. Other things will cost too much of her spirits. She has got a very bright future and let her not spoil herself.
