Just as like footbal we play it as a team. I think now there already made a few changes to the rules. Who ever have kindly bring it here.

One rule is called a 3 second violation. If you are in the D of opponent’s court then one player cannot hold a ball for more than 3 seconds. He have to either pass of shoot the ball.

While basic rules for basketball are the same, the more specific rules vary depending on the level of play. It depends if the game is being played under high school, NCAA, or NBA rules. For instance, as far as game length goes, in High school the games are played in 4- 8 minute quarters, in college: 2- 20 minute halves, NBA: 4- 15 minute quarters.

There are numerous rules for not only basketball but for every game. You got to actually play the game and interact with the coach to know about the rules. One learns during the game, like there is a rule for taking a lay up,you can not take more than two steps.

I have to agree with sanju123. If you go out and play with your friends in a court, even if someone knows all the rules, you will eventually miss something. The best is to go and interact with someone that can apply those rules to your game and make you respect them.
