Dhoni's gloves controversy?

Dhoni pointed out by Ian Healy after she took a brilliant catch of Adam Gilchrist and he had to change his gloves. Surprisingly he was using the same pair of gloves from the begging of the series.

Then it was poor umpiring to let him use those gloves for so long. The rule has been in place for a good while now, certainly 5 years at least.

Thankfully, common-sense prevailed and he changed them with no fuss. You'd have to question the manufactures of the gloves above all else though.

I just heard in the news that Gilchrist was using the gloves from the same company and he backed Dhoni for this. Dhoni was told to change the gloves after Ian Healy commented on them.

May have been the same company but were they the same model? The pouch is a contentious issue anyway as some people say it has little effect, others say that it has a massive one.

Personally, I prefer a change back to the old style that had no pouch at all - no that really would sort the men from the boys!

I do not know much about this. Even i watched this on television. But this was not made a big issue. But what would have happen if the same had happen with OZ players?? surely people and media would have created a mess up and confused everything.
