Gary Kirsten, the former South African opener, is to be the next coach of India. The BCCI sources officially confirmed this and it is informed that, Kristen will take charge from next March i.e. March 2008, hopefully after the test tour to Australia.

I think this is a big mistake which BCCI is doing.
They should have continued with the same 3 coaches. |

Gary Kirsten is the Indian National Cricket team!! I do not know whether Gary has the potential and patience(which is most needed to control the Indians!)!! But one thing is for sure!! The person who is appointed as the coach of India should be like Chak De SRK!! He must be patient and must know how to deal with all the members of the team unlike Greg!!

a good move by the Board of cricket contol in india.... since they have a good bowling and fielding coach and the indians loaded with lefthanders needed an aggressive left hander as coach and am sure kirsten will fit into his job very well....
