Default Question on kumble captaincy

Inidan team had great chance to win this match but that is not happen so question is that the kumble should have declare on fourth day of test or he was correct that he had declare at the fifth day of test or bowling is poor? what you think?

Kumble has made a right decision and there is no need to doubt on the captaincy of Kumble. He is simply the best man with great leadership leading India to the Victory path. The main reason for the draw of second test match is due to the standing of Akmal and Misbah, anyhow bowlers failed to shine.

Kumble was correct in that regard
Only problem is that he should attack a bit more.

His decision of declaring on the 5th was absolutely right. He couldn’t take the risk of declaring on the 4th day with less runs. On the other hand it was not easy to get all the team out in a single day, Pakistan isn’t that bad :P

Anil was a bit extra defensive! But the thought of the series win must have been playing in his mind!! So we cant blame him too!! Lets give him some more time!!

It is not being defensive... you need to be in a safer place before you declare and Kumble did the same. You cant blame him for the bad light. He bowled his best to try and bundle them out but bad light put brakes on indian glory. Kumble is a good captain if not the best....

I think he was only trying to make sure that there wasn't enough time left for the opposition to score the runs quickly. He seems to be a natural leader who knows what he is doing and he is also an aggressive player although since he has become a captain , he is less aggressive towards the team members who field when he is bowling. I didn't expect the Indian board to crown him at his age , but it seems to have worked well.

Kumble has proved himself as the right choice for the captaincy. I was wondering on his selection. But his records are so well that he has pleased everyone. I like his way of approaching and addressing the problems. Especially the way he handled the sydney test crisis.

Possibly except yesterday. He seemed to be lacking in ideas to get the South Africans out in his own den. It perhaps didn't help that the Indians prepared a wicket that doesn't suit their spinners and has grass on it to assist the fast bowlers. This is the first time that Kumble had a testing day at the office in his home country.
