Do you enjoy the Olympics. Watching either the summer or winter. I have attended one of the winter Olympics in Salt Lake in 2002 it was a blast. Being able to see a variety of winter sports that are normally forgotten about was a blast.

I love to watch the field and track events. And obviously i love cheering my country to win medals and go ahead. So i watch almost the entire series and would be a beautiful critic at home. I have never had the opportunity to watch the game live in the stadium and am waiting for a one of that kind.

The Olympics was fun to watch when Russia was still a communist country. It was called the USSR then. Their heated rivalry with the US was always the highlight of the competitions. There was an air of electric excitement when these two powers contend for the gold. It's all gone now.

China will be the country to watch for 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Besides being a great sports nation, this time China has home ground advantage.

What is that home ground advantage.... i do not understand this. anyways chinese have been setting up olympic villages and have been training their players and they are very much determined to be the top leaders in olympics. Lets wait and see what is going to happen for its medal tally.

I do agree that the Olympics have lost a lot of their flair for me. But whenever they take place, I still am glued to the TV. It's a lot of fun watching all those sports that never make the headlines in the U. S. Also, why is this topic under Golf and Horse Racing?

Well this time, olympics is under the scanner because of the chinese government. I think they should not have been so hard on the tibetians in a situation where they are going to host olympics in another 4 or 6 months. Now most of the countries demand to boycott the olympics.
