Too expensive for me and plus, I'd rather be sitting at home watching it on my 42" HDTV than in the sweaty crowds. Meh, I guess I'm not traditional in that way. Of course, if it was closer to home then I'd probably end up going along.

No way. I do not have that much money with me. If i have so, i will surely go to see my dreamstars playing the game. My favourite team is Brazil.

Unfortunately no. But that is simply because of costs. I would try and make it if I had the money. I think it would be awesome to see live. It would definitely be an experience that I would rememeber for the rest of my life.

Hi,
I must say that I am a little curious about South Africa and I would like to go and visit but maybe in a year or two ...or three...anyway until then I'm drinking Heineken beer because in my country they have a contest where you can win a trip to the World Cup Final . Wish me luck. GO ROMANIA :P

I completely disagree with the original comments about it not being a vacation destination and only a place to go and do charity work. I was born in Kempton Park, RSA but now live in Canada and I can tell you that there is a lot of stuff to do there. Sun City is a major detination for vacationers, just ask golfers that go there to play and watch the Johnie Walker World Championship every year. They make some of the best wines in the world. You can go on a Safari and see wildlife in Kruger park and many others. You can eat at some of the worlds best restaurants. You can visit World Heritage Sites. They have the best beaches in the world and the country now thankfully has a very stable post-apartheid environment. Give it a try, you might like it.

From what I hear South Africa is a beautiful country, with the opportunity to see wildlife up close and you can basically see anything from lions to great white sharks. Beyond that, its not really a tourist destination, however it will be packed that year.
