Default FA Cup

As we move closer to the final what are your picks for the semis?

The fixtures for the quarters are:

Saturday, 08 March 2008
Barnsley v Chelsea
Man Utd v Portsmouth

Sunday, 09 March 2008
Bristol Rovers v West Brom
Middlesbrough v Cardiff

I'm going to plump for Chelsea, Man Utd, Bristol R and Cardiff.

I'd love to see a gasheads vs Cardiff semi, so all things crossed for that to happen!

Boro, Man Utd, Bristol and Chelsea here.

I reckon it'll end in a fairly predictable Man Utd vs Chelsea final, although it would be interesting to have that fixture in the semis so that an under dog could make it to Wembley.

Chelsea out, Man U out and the drubbing continues, Boro were just beaten 2 - 0 by Cardiff. Talk about the result silencing the critics; who can complain about the romance of the FA Cup now?

I know that many people are moaning about the quality of the cup this year (mainly Man Utd and Chelsea fans, funnily enough) but I have to say that its great.

Cardiff upsetting the odds and getting to the semi-finals is a dream come true, its just a shame that they won't be allowed to play in Europe should they win it.

They've said that they'll try and fight that all the way though and I reckon they would eventually be able to enter the tournament in some fashion. I was listening to the Guardian Football podcast the other day and I think they mentioned something about them maybe being able to enter via the earlier qualifying stages.
