Well after some wrost results, Newcastle United have a new manager now. Kevin Keegan is back as manager of Newcastle United almost 11 years. Now he has a big task and Newcastle fans hoping for some good results.

Well after some speculation looks like the ex player is the best choice to lead the team in the pursuit of league cup and to bring back the time of newcastle as one of the respected club in Premier League. Maybe Keegen know what's is the best for Newcastle and for the player. The speculation finally ends after a few candidates have been named to be Newcastle new boss like Deschamps, Redknapp and Klinsmann. I hope that Keegan can figure out something to bring back the club's reputation to the highest and become threads to Man U and Arsenal.

Kevin Keegan is a legend but will he be successful in reviving the teams fortune? I guess that remains to be seen. Now I am hopeful that Newcastle will perform better under Keegans reign.

Well, it's been a couple games since he's been in, and obviously you can't expect him to change things around immediately. I just wonder though if he has the technical know-how to succeed in today's premiership. I mean, the mid-90s were a completely different era of football than today. Nowadays you can't just attack attack attack and expect to win. Newcastle's defense was leaky then, and it's still leaky now. I wonder if they'll ever fix it.

I can't see him turning Newcastle around until next season, I think we'll be seeing them fighting for their lives just above the relegation zone for a while. He's not a miracle worker, that's for sure - Newcastle's squad is awful too.

People expect far too much, too soon. The guy has come in during the transfer window, had little time to assess the squad and is trying to pick up a team that was already on the road to nowhere.
Judge him this time next year, that will be the real test. |

It's true, he needs to completely revamp Newcastle's midfield in the next window if they are going to go anywhere. Nicky Butt has been in steady decline ever since he left Man Utd and Damien Duff isn't worth a dime.

I think you're wrong about Duff, the guy was out for a long time with injury and has come back into a team with low moral and needing a good sort out. His performances for the ROI have been good, it just that without the right team around him his effectiveness is minimal, like a lot of players.
