Indian Government had requested the Master Blaster Sachin tendulkar to hold the olympic torch as it is taken in the city. The rally is timed for exactly 15 minutes and the security is given like the Republic Day security offered.

Mater blaster is the person who should be bestowed with best of honours.He is a person who completely focused on his game,he may be endorsing products and doing stuff like that but he the coin that always proves his worth.

Its always good for the country to have their "best face" person hold the torch while making the rounds in their country. That being said, its obvious that its not a good year to have the torch in certain countries due to the obvious controversy surrounding the Olympics this year.
