Cotto last night put a beatdown on Gomez. Him, along with Antonio Margarito, make the welterweight division exciting. I have heard that Mayweather, whom I consider the best pound for pound fighter right now, does not want to fight these guys anytime soon. Boxing, especially the lighter divisions is heading into the right path, with many fighters showing they have the skills. Very exciting!

After the Cotto fight, I watched some of the Tarver bout as well, and he pretty much dominated his man to get the IBF title. Boxing seemed to have been mired in mediocrity for awhile but it seems that a good number of fighters are making a statement, and I hope that the Heavyweight division can produce some good fighters in the future.
