My vote is for Mohammad Ali.He at his time had the kind of grace in his fights. He moved fast as well with ease in the ring.Anyone seen his bout ever?Who do you think is your favorite and why?

I am not a great fun of boxing but i also think Mohammad was the greatest because he had a life outside the ring as well.He could easily provoke anyone, even the U.S.A government and actually he was right. You don't get to see that nowadays.

Ali was great, but others like Marciano, Jack Johnson, Joe Louis, as heavyweights had more impressive records. It can be argued that Sugar Ray Floyd, as well as many others were the best, pound for pound. As far as Icons go, Ali was it.

Ali was good in his time. Not a heavy puncher but a fast and intelligent unorthodox boxer. But there are many great fighters in lighter weight categories also but for heavy i think ali is the best.
