I just heard that the report is out on players that were using steroids or performance enhancers and the list is longer than most people thought.
Mitchell report is out. His 20-month investigation into the drug use in baseball has come to an end it does not sound pretty. 7 MVP's and 31 All Stars are included and this apparently is not the worst of it. Apparently Roger Clemens (the greatest pitcher of his era) was included in the report as a person who illegally used steroids or performance enhancers. The 409 page report identified 85 players. Some others in the report included Jason Giambi, Eric Gagne, gary Sheffield, and more. |

This is just ridiculous. There are probably many more players than that. Who really knows, how many. This is just hurtin baseball rather than doing good or justice if you can even call it that.

I was suprised when I saw Roger Clemens on that list! Barry Bonds and others did not suprise me as much. Hopefully they will catch more who are doping.
I think it is stupid to dope and earn the amount of money they earn. |

Well I was also surprised by some of the players on the list. Jose Canseco was claiming there are a lot of people that should have been on the list which were not mentioned at all.

This is what makes the whole situation worse. Pointing fingers and saying there were more players involved will just prolong the investigation and have more players involved. A good portion which would deny the allegations. They just have to get on with this and stop trying to find more players to blame.

Whatever happened to the doping test? Haven't these players being tested at all? A popular sport like baseball should have this drug prevention scheme in place in order not to hurt its image.

I watched a video where Roger Clemens stated that he did not use steroids and that the trainer who told them he did was lying for whatever reason. He had a very good point that even if he were able to prove himself innocent that his reputation has already been tainted and that some people will never believe the truth.

In the long run this will hopefully clean out the sport and bring some of the fans back. This will be looked at as an aberration and hopefully the players who love the sport will again be the dominant faces for it.

Wow I didn't realize that the list had 85 names on it. I'm surprised also about Roger Clemens. But They shouldn't be getting paid the millions upon millions of dollars if they are using drugs.
