Brewers blasts Reds
Fresh from his Home Run Derby victory Milwaukee Brewers hitter Prince Fielder hit a three run homer that helped beat the Cincinnati Reds, 9-6. It was Fielder’s 23rd home run of the season.
‘I swing hard,” Fielder said. “So I’m not going to say it couldn’t, but I really don’t worry about that as much.’
The Milwaukee Brewers snapped their 11 game winning streak. Meanwhile the Cincinnati Reds won only 2 games in their past 9. Prince Fielder now has 81 RBI’s on the season. Reds starting pitcher Homer Bailey picked up his first loss in two games.
Yahoo! Sports reported; ‘I made some bad pitches, like the one to Prince,’ Bailey said. ‘He won the Home Run Derby, and I guess he carried it over to Cincinnati.’
