Yahoo! Sports releases MMA P-4-P list

Yahoo! Sports has released the latest pound-for-pound rankings. It’s no surprise that after UFC 100, the rankings have shifted. The list is still dominated by UFC fighters, probably because they have the most exposure time in the media.

Georges St. Pierre tops the list after his dominating performance over Thiago Alves. He dominated Alves in five one-sided rounds. It seems that there is no one who can challenge St. Pierre at the UFC welterweight division.

Russian Fedor Emelianenko lands in second place. He has not been beaten. His lone loss is due to a referee’s stoppage due to a cut caused by an accidental head butt. He fights former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett on August 1.

Anderson Silva is third on the list. His recent lackluster performance has caused him to drop from the top spot. He gets a chance to redeem himself in UFC 101 against light heavyweight Forest Griffin.

Current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar lands on the 9th spot on the list.
