The United squad was ready to turn their faces to Indonesia, after their fight with Malaysia XI. The blast in Jakarta took nine lives and left 48 people injured.
According to the statement published by the Manchester United, the club will not be able to complete the fixture. This was told to the Indonesian Foreign Ambassador. Therefore the tour of this season will not be completed. The club was supposed to stay in Ritz-Carlton Hotel, where the blast hit.
The blast really disappointed the players of Man United. The club is thankful for the support the Indonesian FA and their fans gave to them. The club felt deep grief for those who got affected by the blasts. This shocking news of blats was given to the squad by the manager of United, Sir Ferguson.
Ferguson said that he has never been to Indonesia before but knows that the Indonesian FA has handled the situation very well. This decision has been taken for the safety of the United’s squad. Before announcing any decision, the club will discuss the issues with country’s football association.
