Maradona Banned For Two months

FIFA announced on Nov. 15 that it has banned Argentina football manager Diego Maradona for two months because of his expletive-filled rants at journalists after his squad qualified for the World Cup. FIFA’s disciplinary committee heard Maradona’s evidence during hearing before suspending him until January 15.

Iraq Football Federation Disbanded

Iraq’s Olympic committee dissolved the Iraqi Football Association on Nov. 16 because of alleged financial and administrative irregularities and the repeated delaying of internal elections. A temporary board will be named to operate the federation until new elections can be held.
